We're just back from a weekend getaway celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary. Our blog space has been taking a backseat to real life visas. Who knew every step of the visa process could be such a nightmare? But tomorrow morning the nightmare ends at the UPS store when I send five visas and many prayers far, far away. I couldn't be more relieved.

Here are a few pictures from our Pinterest-inspired getaway to Western North Carolina.  Finding a spot in a small town where mountains towered over us on each side and our inn was filled with story and character, we enjoyed a relaxing weekend celebrating seven.

After a long night's sleep and watching Courageous for the first time, we decided to tackle some free hiking and climbed to the top of the mountain across from our hotel.  This was the view of the Esmeralda from close to the top.

Today we are sore from scrambling up the side of a mountain and many rock faces. Perhaps we'll share a few more pictures tomorrow of the process getting up and report that visas are finally on the road!!  :)
